Alas, it turns out Carter won't be spared the perils of cold and flu season after all. We'd assumed a series of restless nights and a crankier-than-usual tantrums were to blame on teething, but after when his temperature shot up we rushed him to see Dr. Papadouris , who confirmed that the little guy's woes were due to an ear infection--likely bacterial--but painful by any definition (I was prone to earaches as child and they weren't fun). Antibiotics have already reduced his fever and restored his playful spirit with a mercifully fleeting bout of nausea(although it should come as no surprise that he's not exactly thrilled come time for his thrice daily 5ml dose of amoxicilline)...on Xmas day, the medication runs out and hopefully, this nasty business with it...
