Tuesday sent the week into full-on topsy-turvy mode as Lidia's mother (aka "Nona") checked herself into the hospital, so with Lidia having to rush out to Mississauga, Karen kindly stayed late to help out with the boys' dinner and bed time. Carter and Nathaniel were in terrific moods and full of energy so we took in an evening frolic in their favorite destination--Stanley Park--and we let them stay up and even sample some of our chinese food (the boys seemed to enjoy chicken-fried rice and beef-and-broccoli--good thing we ordered dinner for three!) Once Karen exhibited her magic touch in getting the boys to sleep with seemingly little effort (although it was nearly 10pm before Carter nodded off!), she was off home. Lidia made it back shortly after that, exhausted from the long ride. Thankfully, everything seems okay on the home front, and after seeing a proper specialist, Nona will be back home by the weekend...
