Definitely "Morning People"...

It's 9 am on a weekday and Carter and Nathaniel are ready to take on the day. They certainly don't take after their old man, who isn't even half as energetic until well past noon!

Hiatus Season

I know, true believers/constant readers..it seems like forever since there's been a new posting here at the boys' official chronicle--suffice to say, your humble narrator has had a busy summer with various comings and goings, visitors, and extracurricular work demands which have left him exhausted, uninspired, and otherwise incapable of keeping up with even the most basic Windows XP functions.
Demands and committments are gradually (mercifully?) lightening up, and soon, the events of the last month will be detailed here in the photographic splendour you've come to expect. Highlights include: a return to Pembroke, more hijinks with Grandma and Grandpa, Nanny, and Kayla, a long overdue meeting with cousin Jennifer, a tour of the Canadian National Exhibition, and Maggie's fourth birthday! Here's a preview:

Happy 4th Birthday, Maggie!

Waiting in the wings...

Not to be outdone, Nathaniel plans his attack...but Minnie is nowhere to be found...

Upwardly Mobile...

We're officially in trouble: Carter has finally mastered the art of crawling--well, more like a Viet Cong soldier slithering through the underbrush--and our lives will never be the same. Nor will the cats'...evidenced here by Carter's latest attempt to claim Maggie's tail as his own...

Conditions Stable...

It's been a month since the boys have seen Dr. Papadouris, and in that time they've certainly grown more vocal and desperate to move (diaper changes now require an intimate knowledge of wrestling moves).

The one thing that didn't change much is their weight (even with all that hair!): more or less stable with Nathaniel at 15lbs 13oz, and Carter at 15 lbs, 4oz. (funny--they certainly feel heavier!).

And Dr. P gave us the go-ahead to introduce the boys to varied cereals and fruits--bananas, apples, and pears, which just happen to be their poppa's favorites, too. Wonder if they make Bumbo chairs in adult sizes?

Eight Months Already?!

(like you guys can count...but you had me fooled...for a minute there...)
