Comic Con Weekend: Pt 3

After I saw my friends off for another year and made once last hover around the merchandise tables, I trucked my tired, uncostumed carcass back to the 'hood and met up with everyone enjoying an afternoon at The Foggy Dew, including Jackie and Rowena, who seemed to have everything control. I presented Mom and the boys with their loot from the show and then wolfed down something I can no longer recall--only that it was my first meal of a looong day. There also involved some business with balloons and smiling bowls of ice cream, but given that I'd spent the better part of two days surrounded by Orcs, Vulcans, and anime freaks, I might have well been having flashbacks...

Comic Con Weekend: Pt 2

Carter and Nathaniel accompanied me as far as Queen and Spadina for Day Four (but my second), where I bolted south for the convention centre. Comic Con Weekend: Pt 1

Carter's already belting out the themes to "Star Wars" and "Superman", so he's more than ready. Until then, I donned the wristband again for another few days of navigating costumed oddities at The Metro Convention Centre and met up with old friends Mark and Colin to enjoy Q&As with the likes of William Shatner and Lee Majors...

Santa In The Summer

My esteemed employer--"Canada's Largest Private Broadcast Network" to those in the know--decided to celebrate its annual broadcast of the Santa Claus Parade with an impromptu party-in-the-parking-lot of 299 Queen Street West, aka, Pops' workplace! Nathaniel and Carter showed up with Karren in tow, as well as some of the other neighbourhood nanny's for a few hours worth of food, photo ops, and an up-close-and-personal preview of the upcoming Yuletide pageantry. The boys and I had a chance for a photo-op with the new Happy Feet sequel, and when ol' St. Nick finally made his appearance, Carter was more interested with Bigfoot, who has made himself a major fan...
