Christmas 2010: Boxing Day Visitors From The East And The West
Boxing Day brought on more excitement, and none of it involved schlepping through a mall. Grandma and Grandpa came into the city to visit for a few days, and Nona came in with lots of food.
Introductions, reunions, a chance to talk with Nanny on the phone--it's amazing what you can cram into a single day!

Christmas Day In The 'Burbs
After a later-than-usual rise (the boys were majorly tuckered-out after Christmas Eve celebrations), we headed out on the highway to spend Christmas Day in Bowmanville at aunt Wendy's new digs.
We were lucky to make it at all, since Mapquest failed to acknowledge a major intersection, but we were able to find our way just the same. The boys were instantly swamped with gifts and enjoyed the sparkling Christmas Tree--since Mom and Dad didn't have room to set one up of their own!

Christmas Eve: The Countdown...
Carter and Nathaniel are decked out in their festive hats and reciting his name hourly: "Santa Ho Ho Ho". Carter launches into spirited renditions of "Jingle Bells". The Santa app has been played so often it's practically collapsed my iPhone. Hey, it's what passes for "Christmas spirit" in the 21st century...
They awoke from the nap to find a few conspicuously large boxes in the living room, left here by elfin folk, and the Big Man has promised to return "a little later this evening" to complete the haul. And then there's the odd footwear hanging from the mantlepiece. What are those--skates?
The boys have spent the week watching countless Treehouse TV Xmas specials, so they know something's going on...
