Movers--Where Have You Moved?!

Imagine my horror this morning to turn on the TV at 8:45 and find that "The Imagination Movers" has been replaced by..."Strawberry Shortcake", of all things. Hoping it was a one-day programming glitch, I was infuriated again the next morning when the "other" Fab Four were nowhere to be found on the airwaves. Scanning the channel guide, I found they'd been moved back to 7am(!), so I promptly fired off an email to Playhouse-Disney Canada.

Later in the week, I received the following response:

"I would like to thank you for your e-mail. Here @ Playhouse Disney, it is always a pleasure to hear from our viewers and address any questions they might have.

Every Fall and Spring, we change our programming schedule in order to introduce new shows as well as the latest episodes of Playhouse Disney’s most popular series. Because of these changes, other programming has to be removed or the timeslots of certain shows have to be changed.

We understand how our viewers can become attached to certain shows, but we always hope to bring something fresh and exciting to our fans.

I will forward your concern to our programming department, in hopes that they will be able to put ‘Imagination Movers’ back in its original timeslot.

Thank you for taking the time to e-mail us. If you have any further questions, concerns, or comments please feel free to contact us by e-mail or toll free at 1-800-893-4862. A Customer Care Representative is available to take your call Monday through Friday from 9am to 9pm EST, and Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm EST."

Well, it was nice to be acknowledged. The boys have the CDs and DVD and can watch entire episodes for FREE on the iPod, so if Playhouse-Disney is fine with losing ratings and faithful viewers, it's their loss...
