Mom And Dad Meet Paul

...well, not quite...

But Mom and Dad did sneak out, thanks to Karren's help, to a screening of the documentary "The Love We Make", all about Paul McCartney's ambition to stage a benefit concert for New York City within hours of the 9/11 attacks that occurred, amazingly, a decade ago now...

Sir Paul appeared via a taped segment, and after the film, the legendary documentary filmmaker Albert Maysles took the stage to answer questions. Maysles, now in his early 80s, was still in good shape and spirits considering he was the first man to photograph The Beatles when they first landed in America in 1964 (he and his late brother David also gave us the classic Rolling Stones documentary "Gimmee Shelter", which Pops has seen several times). Paul must be aging well at 69--when I showed Carter the picture I took in the theatre, he recognized him immediately!
