Week Eight, Day Four

Back to work for Pops, but since I don't start until well past most others have fallen asleep at their desks, I can enjoy a morning walk with the boyos to drop-off...

Carter and Nathaniel were soon joined by their friends Ollie and Nico...

And when I left, Nathaniel and a gang were obsessed with something going on in the schoolyard below...

Aaaaaand it was back to Surrey mid-afternoon for a follow-up appointment with Dr. Smitheringale, not even 24 hours after the hearing test...

Nathaniel and I found a vacant play room and had some fun killing time until Dr. S arrived...

Dr. S was her usual manic self and after an inspection of Nathaniel's recent audiology report...

And an inspection of his ears, determined that it'd be best for Nathaniel to get the tubes put back in (we were alerted that this might have to happen).  More surgery, Nathaniel.  November 28th at noon!  But it's for the best...

That night, after Mom and Pops finished a lengthy phone chat with a specialist, Carter dazzled us by expertly writing the word "STOP" and making a great attempt to draw a stop sign, the crossing-guard lady, and several jack-o-lanterns...

And we let the little trooper play with the iPad.  He certainly earned a break...
