Week Seven, Day Three

A rainy morning necessitated some stall tactics, as arriving too early meant the boyos and I were forced to skip the playground and wander the crowded hallway outside the classroom until the bell rang...

Armed with our trusty "raindrop bop" umbrella, Carter lead us along our street to the double doors...

To our mutual surprise, and delight, Miss P allowed us to enter the classroom early.

When Pops arrived home, he discovered that his key had somehow snapped off in the lock--an absolute first in his 40-something years on this planet, and didn't know what to do. He couldn't pull it out of the lock with his fingers. He didn't have the electronic device to allow him access to the parking garage, and no one had arrived in the management office yet, even though it was 9:20 and the office was supposed to be open at 9. Well, in time, the office manager arrived, and kindly called a locksmith. The locksmith arrived late afternoon, pulled out the broken piece, and drove off without a charge! Wow--talk about catching a break!

Pops and Karen then headed over to the school to catch Nathaniel and Carter immersed in another session of "Vowel Bat", before we saddled up and headed back home...

After a bit of fun at the window, Pops headed back to work to actually DO some work...

Later, we enjoyed an audio recording of the "Hey___" song, which is currently Nathaniel's favorite, and featuring classmates Leia, Wyatt, Jiham, and of course, Carter! (video to come)...
