Week Nine, Day Two: The Night Before Halloween...

Mysteriously, the boys' cool caps have disappeared, so it being a cold morning thanks to Hurricane Sandy (or so we're told, hourly), it was time to break out the even cooler "Yo Gabba Gabba" hats Pops picked up at last summer's comic book convention...

So, with Carter decked out as the robot Plex, and Nathaniel adorned in the familiar green of his favorite "Broby" (not sure what "Broby" is, necessarily), we embarked on a cold, wet journey to the school...

The playground was wet, as expected, but there was little evidence of storm damage. The biggest threat, really, was the fact that the new hats limited visibility...

Pops stuck around long enough for The National Anthem and the lineup to class...
En route to work, I passed the Roots store, still on fire and with police and fire crews working hard to put out the blaze...
That night, we began to assemble our annual Halloween display.  Not even a hurricane will spoil our fun...

Strangely, our "Creature From The Black Lagoon" and "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" lights started to malfunction. They are years old after all. Tomorrow, Pops will attempt to slip out at lunch to put up the rest of our tableaux, guaranteed to draw a crowd...
