Week Eight, Day Three

Pops took a day off for no real reason, other than to attempt to catch up on some work for the big comic book gig. Karren arrived early and we both took the boys to school...

We managed to get Nathaniel to sit still and join Carter and Ollie in the bleachers for roll call...
After a long morning stroll, Pops arrived home just as Karren was getting the boys' lunch ready...
...plus, a little surprise from the new Silver Snail.
When we arrived for lunch pickup, we were thrilled to see Carter and his class singing the "Hello" song and Nathaniel front and centre engaged with Miss P...

Hats, jackets, and backpacks in no particular order...
And a short stroll home...
I think I was a rare disruptive influence.  Nathaniel was impatient and Carter, who normally eats well, were a little rambunctious and spent most of the hour NOT eating...
But, I was able to blackmail Carter into finishing his Spider-Man pasta by withholding his gift...
Good thing Carter has been into The Avengers' "Hawkeye" lately, because that's the character in the package!
After an afternoon of little work and mostly napping, Pops joined Karren for pickup and found the boys playing outside in good spirits...

Nathaniel got a surprise, too: a brand new copy of one of his favorite books, "Hello Schoolbus", which I had ordered online...
Pizza Day again Tuesday...Nathaniel enjoyed it at Kyla's birthday so we signed him up, too.
Karren took the boys to visit Kyla, who will soon have a new baby brother...
Then the fun stopped...it was time for Pops to take Nathaniel across town for a white-knuckled drive through evening traffic to Surrey Place, for another test in Audiology...
Having fallen asleep (predictably) during the ride over, Nathaniel was cranky and in no mood to have objects stuck in his ears...
Nevertheless, we made it through the test.  The results found some of his hearing levels had dropped, but when the nerves were stimulated directly, his responses were excellent. So what does that mean? Likely that the tubes, one of which had come out and the other which was causing some blockage, would have to be reinserted...
So another surgery, little guy.  But after ANOTHER appointment BACK at Surrey tomorrow.  Rest up and have fun with The Imagination Movers...
